OUR TEAM

Meet our 2022 team
of public & global health enthusiasts

Director

Kiran Gill

Kiran is a U1 student in Industrial and Labour relations. He joined CHSP in order to learn more about the intersection of health and public policy. His interest area lies in social determinants of health such as discrimination, access to housing, education and literacy skills to name a few.  Kiran looks forward to engaging with other students and their health related interests.

VP Taiwan Exchange

Alyssa Wu

Hi everyone! I'm Alyssa and this is my first year at McGill as a U1 student in the biological sciences! With CHSP, I hope to learn more about the dissimilarities between different international healthcare systems, and as VP Taiwan Exchange, my goal is to connect students interested in global health to information about diverse health programs around the world!

VP Conference

Lauraine Germain (she/her)

Lauraine is our VP Conference. Passionate about determinants of health and the impact of politics on the population's health and well-being, she will be trying to incorporate social equity and justice in this year's discussions, as well as in her practice as a future occupational therapist. Apart from school, she is an eternal foodie, a podcast enthusiast and, more recently, a newbie furniture flipper.

VP Communications

Marley Hodgson (she/her)

Marley is a third year student studying Environmental science and Immunology. She is especially interested in ecological determinants of health and parasitic disease burden in lower and middle income regions. Outside of class, she spends most of her time in the gym doing bicep curls or experimenting with baking.

First Year Representative

Samantha Lau (she/her)

Samantha Lau is a first-year nursing student who understands the importance of equal access to healthcare and public health for all. She is interested in global health, gender equity, and disease control. In her free time, she loves to hike and walk around outside while listening to music!

VP Conference

Teri Clark (she/they)

Terry is a U1 student at McGill who is interested in global health and health policy. She thinks it's important to learn about different countries' healthcare structures to implement culturally-appropriate and effective systems. In her free time, she likes to bake, cook, and read, and at any given point, she wishes she could be sitting next to a dog.
